Becketts Lawyers acted for Access Innovation Holdings Limited (Ai-Media) on its recent placement and accelerated, renounceable pro rata entitlement offer which raised a total of $40 million.
Ai-Media is a leading global provider of technology-driven live and recorded captioning, transcription and translation services.
The capital raising, which was fully underwritten by Bell Potter and Morgans, was undertaken to fund the cash consideration payable for the transformational acquisition of EEG Enterprises.
The Becketts team was led by Nick Golding and included Rachel Morris and Madeleine Saunders.
Nick Golding said “We are delighted to have assisted Ai-Media on this capital raising. The acquisition of EEG will establish Ai-Media as a leading vertically integrated provider of captioning technology, with a full suite of products to match customer requirements. It was an absolute pleasure working with Ai-Media’s fantastic executive team, led by Tony Abrahams (CEO), John Bird (CFO), Sue Sanossian (Company Secretary) and Ishan Karunanayake (General Counsel), and its highly engaged board of directors, chaired by Deanne Weir.
We really admire Ai-Media’s commitment to access for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community and look forward to watching Tony, Deanne and team continue to execute on Ai-Media’s growth strategy.”
